"Mum writes a song for her special needs son to call for peace, freedom and love."

"This is Rufus. Rufus has a syndrome that is so rare he is literally one in a hundred million. He can't speak for himself so, for his sake and for the sake of all our children, I'm asking that we put aside our differences and stand together for peace, freedom and love."

Let's gather Rufus's family of 100 million people from all over the world who want peace, love and freedom. It's only a tiny percentage of the global population and I am certain many more than this want peace.

Why 100 million? Rufus. His syndrome is incredibly rare, there are only around one hundred known cases worldwide, so he is quite literally ONE IN ONE HUNDRED MILLION! So let's build his family.

Music has a special quality that can unite people, convey messages and evoke strong emotions. So, thinking of how we need to stand together and heal humanity, I poured some heartfelt words onto paper, stitched together a patchwork of tunes in my head and for the first time in my life... I created a song.

I honestly believe sometimes things are meant to be and it was thanks to pure serendipity that I met Darren Percival, a man of huge talent, a radiant soul and a generous heart. My unsolicited text message would have been dismissed by most but instead he invited me to his home. We talked for ages, realising we share many hopes and ideals, before he sat at his piano and the song that had been living in my head was born.

Darren intuitively understood what I wanted to achieve with the song. He gathered the additional voices we needed, all local people, and another incredibly talented man with a good heart, Adam Sofo, who produced the recording.

We are releasing the song with a social media campaign asking people to post and share a video of themselves singing their own version or a photo showing their support of #100millionpeopleforpeace. Then join The Fair Society - it's free - and be part of a fast growing new movement.
